专家简介:徐力方,1984年中国科技大学近代物理系理论物理专业获学士学位,师从于渌教授。1989年意大利International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA)获硕士和博士学位,师从E. Tosatti、M. Parrinello、A. Selloni., 后在中国科学院理论物理所和瑞典UMEA大学理论物理系从事博士后研究。2005年至今中国科学院物理所量子模拟中心研究员、主任工程师。主要从事量子物理解析解、计算物理、计算机管理等领域的研究。

报告摘要:Spontaneous construction of one-dimensional (1-D) graphene chain on boron-doped diamond (111) surface has been found in first principles calculations. Boron-doping-induced surface reconstruction is the mechanism responsible for such a graphene chain formed on diamond (111). Comparing with graphene nanoribbon, there are three advantages in chain structure: this is the narrowest and a true 1-D graphene with only one six-member ring structure; there is no dangling bond on its edges since they are connected to surface carbon atoms; diamond surface naturally provides the substrate for graphene chain. Furthermore, band structure calculation shows that graphene chain keeps linear energy dispersion relation along the chain direction.
