专家简介:欧阳乐,2015年获中山大学概率论与数理统计专业统计模式识别方向理学博士学位,2013年10月-2014年4月,赴新加坡南洋理工大学计算机科学系交流访问。2015-2016年在香港城市大学电子工程系从事博士后研究。深圳大学助理教授,硕士研究生导师。主要从事数据挖掘、机器学习和生物信息学等领域的科研和教学工作。目前已在Bioinformatics、BMC Bioinformatics、BMC Genomics、IEEE/ACM TCBB、Methods、Scientific Reports、Molecular BioSystems等国际权威期刊发表SCI论文19篇。获授权专利1项。担任Bioinformatics、Methods、IEEE/ACM TCBB等重要刊物审稿人。主持国家自然科学基金青年项目1项,参与广东省自然科学基金重点项目1项。

报告摘要:With the advance in technologies capturing molecular and medical data, we entered the area of “Big Data” in biology and medicine. The availability of big data provides unprecedented opportunities but also raises new challenges for data mining and analysis. As high-throughput data acquisition becomes popular in biomedical research, it is timely to propose some novel approaches to mining the large-scale genomic data to  find new genetic patterns. In this talk, I will first introduce key concepts in the analysis of big data, including both “machine learning” algorithms as well as “unsupervised” and “supervised” examples of each, and provide a brief overview of recent developments in big data analyses in the context of precision medicine and health informatics. Next, I will introduce our previous contributions in this area, including ensemble learning, multi-view learning, biomarkers discovery and differential network analysis.
