Machine Learning Research Group from FNU Wins the PAKDD’19 Best Application Paper Award

Recently, the paper “Time-dependent Survival Neural Network for Remaining Useful Life Prediction,” jointly completed by the machine learning research group from the College of Mathematics and Informatics of FNU and the collaborative research group from the University of Sherbrooke in Canada, was accepted by the PAKDD'19 (the 23rd Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining) and won the Best Application Paper Award. The authors of the paper, Prof. Chen Lifei from the College of Mathematics and Informatics of FNU, and Mr. Wang Shengrui, Minjiang Chair Professor of FNU and professor of the University of Sherbrooke, attended the conference and accepted the award.

The Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD) is one of the leading international conferences in the area of data mining in the Pacific-Asian region, enjoying a high reputation in the field of global data mining. It has been highly valued and widely recognized by scientists within the industry from various countries and has been held for 23 sessions. This year, the PAKDD was organized by the University of Macau and has conferred several awards, including Best Paper Award, Best Student Paper Award, and Best Application Award.
