FNU Holds the 1st Sino-Nordic High-Level Think Tank Forum

The first Sino-Nordic high-level think tankforum kicked off in Fuzhou on December 13. The forum was jointly sponsored by Central Compilation & Translation Bureau, FNU and Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP), Sweden, and held by National High-Level Think Tank Work Office, Central Compilation & Translation Bureau and School of Public Administration, FNU. Over 40 experts and scholars attended the forum, including experts and scholars from Nordic countries and regions like Sweden, Finland, Norway, Greenland, and thosefrom Central Compilation & Translation Bureau, Academy of Military Sciences PLA China,China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and FNU.


Lai Hairong, vice president of FNU, presided over the opening ceremony. At the opening ceremony, Ji Zhengju, deputy director of Central Compilation & Translation Bureau, and Niklas Swantrom, director of ISDP, delivered a speech respectively. The experts and scholars conducted discussions about the three themes: Sino-Nordic Relationship in the New Era, The Belt and Road Initiative and Sino-Nordic Cooperation and How High-Level Think Tank Exchanges Enhance Sino-Nordic Cooperation. During the forum, the scholars and experts from think tanks in different countries delivered keynote speeches, elaborating on how they look at the status quo and the future direction of Sino-Nordic relationship, summarizing the successful experiences, analyzing the influencing factors and putting forward theproposalof strengthening the Sino-Nordic cooperation and exchangesbased on the Belt and Road Initiative. The forum has played a positive role in creating a favorable public opinion environment for the development and cooperation of Sino-Nordic relationship and expanding the academic exchanges and pragmatic cooperation among Central Compilation & Translation Bureau, FNU and Nordic think tank institutions.
