On September 16, the opening ceremony was held in the second conference room of Qishan Campus of FNU. Zhang Zhengwen, secretary of the party committee and executive vice president of University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(UCASS), vice president of the Graduate School of UCASS, Wang Wei, director of the Graduate Affairs Office of the Graduate School of UCASS, Li Baoyin and Lai Hairong, leaders of FNU, Li Jianping, former president of FNU, heads of the Graduate School of FNU, the co-training tutors of FNU and the first batch of doctoral students, took part in the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Lai Hairong, vice president of FNU.
On behalf of FNU, Lai Hairong extended warm welcome to Zhang Zhengwen and his delegation and expressed sincere congratulations to the first batch of six doctoral students who were admitted to the cooperative training program. He briefly introduced the basic information of FNU and the College of Marxism, and claimed that the opening ceremony marked another significant and solid step for the cooperation between the two sides. In his speech, Zhang Zhengwen fully affirmed the achievements of the cooperation. He hoped that the first batch of six doctoral students would cherish the precious learning opportunities and strictly demand themselves to be good questioners, preachers and seekers of Marxist theory and play a leading role in politics and academia.
At the meeting, Li Baoyin and Li Jianping presented research series on Das Kapital toZhang Zhengwen on behalf of FNU. Wang Wei introduced the training plan, curriculum and thesis requirements in detail, and put forward specific requirements for the academic performance of the doctoral students.
From September 15 to 16, Zhang Zhengwen also gave academic reports titled Aesthetic Modernity Transformation from German Classical Philosophy to Marxist Philosophy and Historical and Cultural Genes of German Aesthetic Modernity Discourse respectively to young teachers and postgraduates. Prof. Zhang, with his meticulous logic, original insights, vivid language and rich content, brought splendid academic feasts to teachers and students, and received wide praise from them.
