专家简介：Dr.Zhi-Jie Liu obtained his Ph. D in Biophysics from the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1994. After postdoc training in the University of Pittsburgh and University of Georgia during 1995 to 1997, he became the Research Assistant Professor and Research Associate Professor at the University of Georgia. He started his own research lab in the Institute of Biophysics, CAS, in 2005 as a “Hundred Talent” professor. Dr. Liu has published more than 100 papers in prestigious journals such as Cell, Nature, etc. He relocated to ShanghaiTech University in 2013 and co-founded the iHuman Institute with Dr. Raymond Stevens. His research is focused on the study of human G protein coupled receptors (GPCR) and related cell signal transductions. Dr. Liu led the team and solved the structures of human cannabinoid receptor CB1 complexes withantagonist AM6538 (Cell,Oct, 2016) and with agonist AM841 (Nature,July, 2017), human GLP-1 receptor transmembrane domain structure in complex with allosteric modulators (Nature, June, 2017). He received the WuXiPharmaTech Life Science and Chemistry Award in 2012. Dr. Liu is the co-editor of IUCr Journal (IUCr J), Vice President of Biophysical Society of China, Council member of Asian Crystallographic Association (AsCA), Council member of International Organization for Biophysical Crystallization (IOBCr).
