The 2019 Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM/ICM) has recently published the results of the competition. A total of 25,370 teams from 17 countries and regions including China, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia participated in the contest this year. Of the 29 participating teams from FNU, 6 won the second prize.

It is learned that MCM/ICM, hosted by the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Application (COMAP), is the only international mathematical contest in modeling, and the worlds most influential mathematical contest in modeling. The competition requires that each team should consist of a maximum of three undergraduates, and that they should complete all the work, from modeling, proposing solutions, verification to writing the thesis, within four days to solve a designated problem.
