On December 5, Bram Kushardjanto, the founder of the National Spice Foundation of Indonesia, led a delegation to visit FNU. FNU Vice President Chen Qinghua met with the delegation, and heads from the International Office, College of Sociology and History and the Center for Indonesian Studies attended the meeting.

Chen Qinghua introduced the relevant situation of FNU in terms of exchange and cooperation in Indonesia. He said that FNU has always attached great importance to foreign exchanges and cooperation, and that teachers and students at FNU have actively participated in various cultural exchanges and academic activities between China and Indonesia, which has garnered a lot of vitality and publicity, especially in Indonesian Chinese language education and cultural exchanges and academic research between China and Indonesia. He hoped that the visit will serve as an opportunity to further leverage strengths and expand the fields of cooperation and exchange.

Bram Kushardjanto introduced the relevant situation of the National Spice Foundation of Indonesia, and said that FNU has outstanding disciplinary advantages in humanities and social sciences, biological sciences, chemistry and materials and so on, and that the two sides have huge potential and good prospects for cooperation. He hoped that the spice culture and research, rich in Indonesian characteristics, will serve as a bond to strengthen cooperation and exchanges in the fields of Chinese herbal medicine and biological disciplines to promote the friendship between China and Indonesia.

At the meeting, the two sides had in-depth discussions on the innovative modes to expand the exchange field and integrate characteristic resources, and jointly signed the Memorandum of Education Cooperation and Exchange between Fujian Normal University and the National Spice Foundation of Indonesia.
