The recently-released results of 2018 National College Newspaper Competition and Fujian College Newspaper Competition showed that, among the six awarded FNU news works, FNU won two first prizes and four third prizes in National College Newspaper Competition and three first prizes and two third prizes in Fujian College Newspaper Competition. Moreover, Guo Miaoxin, head of the Reporter Station of FNU Newspaper, was awarded the title of Excellent College Reporter in Fujian.
College newspaper competitions at national level and provincial level are held once a year and cover six categories including information, news report, review, layout, news photography and new-media. 3,834 news of 724 universities in 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions made it to the National College Newspaper Competition, and 189 news of 29 universities in Fujian made it to the Fujian College Newspaper Competition.
