The 10th Toshiba Cup Innovative Teaching Skills Competition for Science Student of Chinese Normal Universities, sponsored by the Ministry of Education (MOE), was held in Guizhou Normal University (GNU). 145 students from 50 Normal Universities, including Beijing Normal University (BNU), East China Normal University (ECNU), Northeast Normal University (NENU), Central China Normal University (CCNU), Southwest University (SU) and so on, participated in the competition. FNU students like Chen Miaorong, a Mathematics major, won the third prize, and Yan Zhaojun, a Physics major, and Ma Xintao, a Chemistry major, were both awarded the Honorable Mention Award. The competition centered around three subjects including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and there was a first-prize winner, three second-prize winners and six third-prize winners for each subject.
On December 27, the First National College Students’Teaching Competition for Psychological Guidance ended in Wenling county, Taizhou city, Zhejiang province. Zhang Yuanting, a FNU senior majoring in psychology was awarded the first prize. The First National College Students’ Teaching Competition for Psychological Guidance, jointly held by the MOE Teaching Guidance Committee for Psychology Majors and the Chinese Psychological Society (CPS), consist of preliminary contests and finals, and there were 12 first-prize winners and 32 second-prize winners in the competition.
