On December 22nd, Ms. Xu Xinying, Executive President of The Mirror, Wu Lishan, President of Wisdom Hong Kong, Gu Minkang, Professor of Hong Kong University of Education and Executive President of Hong Kong Basic Law Education Association, Kong Lingxian, Director of Fujian affiliate of The Mirror, Pan Xianhua, Minister of Liaison Department of Fujian Provincial Friendship of Overseas Chinese Associations, Liu Shunping, Secretary-General of Fujian Provincial Federation of Taiwan Compatriots and Minister of its Liaison Department, and their entourage visited FNU. FNU Vice President Chen Qinghua met with the guests, and relevant personnel from FNU Party Committee Office, Publicity Department, United Front Work Department and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Chen Qinghua briefly introduced how FNU gives full play to its geographical and regional advantages, and the cooperation with universities and organizations in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in talent training, scientific research collaboration, teacher-student exchange and other aspects. He said that FNU is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation and seek common development with The Mirror and other media, guide young students to practice social responsibility, and promote the integration of education in Fujian, Hong Kong and Macao to a higher level.

Xu Xinying said that in recent years, both sides have actively practiced the philosophy of combining schooling with social services, strengthened exchanges and cooperation in an all-round way, established the promotion base of social responsibility for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots in Fujian, jointly held such activities as Fujian, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and Overseas Chinese University Presidents and School Principals Forum, and deepened cooperation in promoting social responsibility. She said that The Mirror will continue to leverage its media advantages to build a diversified platform for promoting social responsibility, and create opportunities for young people to understand and practice social responsibility.

Before the meeting, the delegation visited the school history museum of FNU.
