Andaya, Director of the Capital Education Bureau of the Philippine Department of Education, visited FNU

On March 14th, Andaya, Director of the Bureau of Capital Education at the Department of Education of the Philippines, paid a visit to FNU upon invitation. Vice President Wu Jianfeng met with the guest, accompanied by relevant heads from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Overseas Education College, Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation in the Philippines, as well as representatives from the Philippine Research Center.

During the meeting, Andaya emphasized that the Philippine Department of Education attaches great importance to Chinese language education, hoping to further elevate its standards and promote cultural exchanges and cooperation through collaborations with Chinese universities such as FNU. In response, Wu Jianfeng highlighted the long-standing collaborative ties and solid foundation shared by both parties. He assured that our university will persist in harnessing its strengths in disciplines, talents, and other areas to deepen its cooperation with the Bureau of Capital Education at the Department of Education of the Philippines, particularly in Chinese language programs, jointly advancing the development of education in both countries.

The two sides engaged in thorough discussions on promoting Chinese language education in the Philippines and strengthening friendly exchanges between the two nations. Following the meeting, Andaya visited the Overseas Education College and the Philippine Research Center at our university, where he also interacted with Filipino student representatives from our university.
