Wu Jianfeng, Vice President of FNU, Leads Delegation to Philippines for Enhanced Educational Ties

From March 8th to 12th, Vice President Wu Jianfeng led a delegation to the Philippines for an exchange visit, accompanied by relevant officials from the United Front Work Department, the School of Social and Historical Sciences, the School of Overseas Education, and the University Hospital.

 

During the visit, the delegation visited Angeles University Foundation and Chiang Kai Shek College in the Philippines, engaging in in-depth discussions on topics including the high-quality development of Confucius Institutes, the cultivation of international Chinese education students, the establishment of overseas education internship sites, the training of local Chinese teachers, and medical services. Vice President Wu Jianfeng expressed his gratitude to the partner institutions for their dedication to promoting educational exchanges and hoped to deepen educational cooperation and enhance the effectiveness of educational undertakings.

 

Furthermore, the delegation paid visits to alumnus Xu Mingliang, Vice Chairman of the university's Board of Trustees, Managing Directors Cai Congmiao and Seah Ri Chang, as well as Ms. Shi Shuk Hao, Seah's mother. During these meetings, Vice President Wu Jianfeng provided an overview of the university's recent developments and achievements in international education, seeking valuable feedback and suggestions from the alumni on the university's future construction, development, and the establishment of a Philippine alumni association.

 

While in the Philippines, the delegation also attended the 70th anniversary celebration of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FFCCCII), met with its chairman, visited the Metro Manila Office of the Philippine Department of Education, and visited the university's volunteers teaching Chinese language education in the country.
