The conference was held in Fuzhou from December 6th to 11th and co-sponsored by Peking University and Fujian Normal University (FNU). Joint organizers included the College of Mathematics and Information of FNU, the Key Laboratory of Analytical Mathematics and Application of Fujian Province and the Mathematics Research Center of FNU. Nearly 40 experts and scholars from 18 universities and academic institutions at home and abroad attended the conference, including the University of California, the University of Minnesota, the University of Sydney, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University, Tsinghua University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University, Beijing Normal University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Tongji University.
At the opening ceremony, President Wang Changping of FNU, Professor Ni Lei of the University of California and Professor Shi Yuguang of Peking University addressed the conference respectively. Centered on the theme of geometric analysis and mathematical general theory of relativity, the participants of the conference explored and exchanged views on topics related to geometric analysis and topology in Riemannian manifolds and 21 experts and scholars were invited to give presentations.
