Recently, University of Huddersfield College of Fujian Normal University, established by FNU and University of Huddersfield, has been approved by the Ministry of Education of the Peoples Republic of China, which is the first Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school, a non-independent legal person in FNU. The establishment of the school is of great significance to FNU in introducing high-quality educational resources and accelerating the internationalization of school-running and marks a new stage in open school-running for FNU. At present, FNU has been approved one non-independent legal person Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school and six cooperatively-run educational projects at undergraduate level and one at graduate level.

University of Huddersfield College of Fujian Normal University will offer three undergraduate programs in the areas of Communication Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, and Computer Science and Technology. Adopting the 4+0training mode, it will introduce the courses, textbooks and teachers from University of Huddersfield, so that students can enjoy the high quality education resources from abroad while studying in China. Students who are academically qualified will be awarded the relevant bachelors degree certificate from both universities. After the operation of this school, the two universities will carry out extensive cooperation in teaching, research, student exchanges.
