FNU Co-hosts the 4th Cross-Straits Internet of Things Technology and Industry Development Seminar

    The 4th Cross-Straits Internet of Things Technology and Industry Development Seminar was opened in FNU on December 11th. It was sponsored by FNU, China Institute of Electronics on Communication Society, Internet of Things Committee of China Institute of Communications, China (Wuxi) Institute of Internet of Things as well as Taiwan Internet of Things Alliance, and hosted by College of Photonic and Electronic Engineering of FNU. On the theme of Sharing the Technological Development Jointly and Creating the Future of Industry Together”, over 7,000 people attended the senimar online and offline, including representatives of the scientific and technological experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from both sides of the straits. Mr. Shi Bin, Vice Chairman of Fujian Association for Science and Technology, and Professor Chen Qinghua, Vice President of FNU, attended the seminar and delivered speeches.

    Some experts and scholars in the field were invited to this seminar, including Prof. Zhu Hongbo, Chairman of Internet of Things Committee of China Institute of Communications, Mr. Liang Binxian, Director General of Taiwan Internet of Things Alliance, Mr. Zhang Yan, Academician of Academy of Europe, Prof. Jin Shi, Vice President of Southeast University, Prof. Hu Ruimin from Xidian University, Prof. Yang Yang, Chief Scientist of Terminus, Prof. Zhang Wuxiong from Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Taiwan scholar Prof. Yu Zhimin and Prof Jia Wenkang. They started their discussion by focusing on the mobile Things of Internet and new infrastructure, integration of metaverse and Things of Internet technology, forecast of future development of Intelligent Internet of Things, and some new application scenarios like wise information technology of med, intelligent early warning and smart city. Mr. Dong Yi, CTO of Huawei Fujian Artificial Intelligence Computing Center, Mr. Zhang Yijin, Vice General Manager of Fujian Newland Auto-Identity Technology Company Limited and Mr. Xing Tao, Dean of Zhejiang Institute of Advanced Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences shared their ideas about the basic software and hardware platform of native scientific intelligence of Huawei based on the Kunpeng and Shengteng AI integrated innovative computing architecture, application of Internet of Things and Blockchain Technology in Industrial Internet and the application fields of OpenHarmony applied to data acquisition terminal.

    At the seminar, experts and scholars from both sides of the Straits strengthened the cooperation between industry, university and research and promoted the transformation of scientific research achievements by focusing on serving the technology of Internet of Things and blockchain, 6G and metaverse, and offered suggestions on promoting the integration and development of the Internet and Things industry across the straits and accelerating the joint training of talents.
