On December 5, a delegation from Cagliari Calcio, an Italian football club currently playing in Serie A，visited FNU. Pro. Wang Changping, President of FNU, met with the delegation led by Mr. Stefano Melis, Commercial Director of the club. Also present at the meeting were heads of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of Physical Education and Sport Science.
Prof. Wang Changping briefly introduced the history and characteristics of FUN. He said that the strong physical education in FNU produced a wealth of sports talents and expressed hope to see strengthened exchanges and cooperation between FNU and Cagliari Calcio as the latter is a long-time strong team in Italy. Mr. Stefano Melis acknowledged FNU’s own characteristics and advantages in talent cultivation and said that the two sides could cooperate in sports and cultural education and other fields.
Mr. Stefano Melis also gave a lecture at FNU entitled The Current Situation and Future of Sports Industry.
Cagliari Calcio, founded in 1920, has long been strong team in Serie A. In this season, the club ranked fourth in Serie A.
