From December 12 to 15, the 15th Provincial Undergraduate College Professor Basketball Tournament was held at the Cangshan Campus of FNU. It was hosted by the Provincial Department of Education and undertaken by FNU. Nearly 200 professors of 17 representative teams from the provincial undergraduate colleges participated in the competition.
In the spirit of “making acquaintance by basketball, exchanging academic ideas by games”, this competition has witnessed good spirit and sportsmanship of the professors from each team who adhere to the principle of friendliness first, competition second. After 36 intense competitions, the teams of FNU, Fujian Medical University and Fuqing Branch of Fujian Normal University won the first prize, Quanzhou Normal University, Sanming University, Jimei University, Putian College, and Huaqiao University the second prize, Fujian University of Technology, Longyan University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Fujian Business University, Xiamen Medical College, Wuyi University, Minnan Normal University, Fuzhou University, and Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine the third prize.
It is reported that the provincial undergraduate college professor basketball tournament started in 2005 and was initiated by professor basketball team of FNU. Since 2007 it has been hosted by the Provincial Department of Education.
