During the meeting, Vice President Ouyang briefed the guests on FJNU's recent development and the progress of its collaboration with the Philippines. He noted that the two universities have jointly operated the Confucius Institute for many years. Through sustained effort and steady growth, the institute has become a vital bridge for China-Philippines cultural and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed hope that this visit and the signing ceremony would serve as a new starting point to further strengthen the Confucius Institute brand, expand the breadth and depth of collaboration, and achieve meaningful alignment and collaborative innovation in areas such as discipline development, joint research, and talent cultivation.

Director Ebenezer A. Beloy spoke highly of FJNU's educational achievements and the effectiveness of its cooperation with the Philippines. He expressed anticipation for strengthening exchanges between Philippine educational institutions and FJNU to jointly promote the popularization and development of Chinese language education in the Philippines.

Vice Presidents Dr. Olga Angelinetta P. Tulabut, Dr. Annalyn T. Navarro, and Professor Cavin F. Pamintuan reviewed the long history of cooperation between the two universities in operating the Confucius Institute. They expressed sincere gratitude for FJNU's sustained and strong support in faculty deployment, educational resources, and teaching development. They look forward to using the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding as an opportunity to deepen cooperation, expand academic collaboration and joint research, and build the Confucius Institute into a solid bridge connecting Chinese and Philippine education and culture, jointly writing a new chapter in the friendship and cooperation between the two institutions.

Following the meeting, FJNU and AUF signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Cooperation and Joint Research. The delegation also visited the Supercomputing Center of the College of Geographical Sciences and the laboratories of the School of Life Sciences.
