On June 18, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the international higher education research institution, officially released its World University Rankings. Fujian Normal University (FJNU) has made its debut on this globally authoritative ranking, placing in the 1201–1400 band worldwide. The university ranks 74th among institutions in Chinese mainland and 5th among normal universities nationwide. It is the only university under the administration of Fujian Province to be featured in the rankings—a milestone that marks a new breakthrough in elevating the university's international profile.

The QS World University Rankings evaluate institutions across nine indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, teaching environment, global engagement, graduate employability, and sustainability. This year's ranking covers more than 1,500 universities across 106 countries and regions. A total of 85 universities from Chinese mainland made the list, with 13 of them, including FJNU, being first-time entrants.
