Recently, Prof. Chen Daqin’s team of College of Physics and Energy of FNU, in collaboration with the team of Researcher Chen Xueyuan of Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, reported a class of lanthanide doped lead-free double perovskites with ultra-broadband continuous emissions in the wavelength range spanning the visible to near-infrared spectral range (400~2000 nm), and developed ultra-broadband light-emitting diodes with compact structure and excellent stability. The research results, titled “Compact ultra-broadband light-emitting diodes based on lanthanide doped lead-free double perovskites”, were published in the journal Light: Science & Applications.   FNU is the first unit of the paper, with Jin Shilin, a master candidate of FNU as the first author, and Engineer Li Renfu, and Researcher Chen Xueyuan of Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Prof. Chen Daqin of FNU as the co-corresponding authors. The work was funded by the National Key Research and Development Special Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Key Fund of Fujian Province.
