On June 26, Muhammad Akbar, Head of Region XI of the Higher Education Service Institutes, led a delegation to visit Fujian Normal University (FNU). Vice President Fang Qianhua met with the guests. Also in attendance were principals from the International Office, the College of Sociology and History, and the Overseas Education College.

Vice President Fang welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the university's higher education cooperation with Indonesia. He noted that, building on two major platforms—the Confucius Institute at the University of Al Azhar Indonesia and FNU's Indonesian Studies Center—the university has been steadily deepening and expanding exchanges with Indonesian universities across three key areas: International Chinese Language Education, International and Regional Studies, and applied talent cultivation. He expressed hope that both sides would further strengthen mutual trust, establish closer ties with universities across Kalimantan Island, and expand cooperation in joint research, two-way faculty and student exchanges, and collaborative talent development. He also warmly welcomed local students to pursue further studies at FNU.

Head Akbar introduced the basic profile of Region XI of the Higher Education Service Institutes and fully affirmed the achievements of the Confucius Institute at the University of Al Azhar Indonesia and FNU's Indonesian Studies Center. He also highly commended the university's development strategy and direction of educational cooperation with Indonesia. He stated that the purpose of this visit was to establish initial contacts and build mutual trust, laying the groundwork for future cooperation in academic research, faculty development, and talent cultivation.

Chen Caicai, Dean of the Pontianak Joint Hope Language College, who accompanied the delegation, shared positive outcomes from previous student exchange programs and expressed the hope of sending more students to study at FNU. She also exchanged views with the university on potential directions for future collaboration.

Following the meeting, Head Akbar and his delegation visited the university's Old Photo Gallery and toured the Overseas Education College.
